Help Us Help Others
As statistics demonstrate, there is a large achievement gap between those living above or below the poverty line. Therefore, GEAR joins with families to help them recognize their strengths to achieve and trust in their own capacity to transform their lives and break the cycle of poverty.

Gearing Up for Responsibility
The achievement of independence and the ability to meet family necessities are almost insurmountable without the foundation of literacy and education. Yet, access to technology, literacy, adequate housing, and proper nutrition are lacking in local, low-income communities – all essential contributions to the ability to learn. These basic needs compelled GEAR to take a strategic and hands-on approach to improving resources to help youth and families overcome poverty. GEAR aims to provide them with the inspiration to take responsibility for their lives and for their own communities.
